Friday Meme’s ~ Vampire Blood
Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
For years the vampire family lived in the shadows, hidden by the night and people’s disbelief; feeding on animals or throw away people who would never be missed. As the family moves into an old theater to cover up their crimes, the youngest are restless and determined to live as they like. Killing and feeding when and where they want. Feeding on who they want. Only the oldest vampires have managed to keep them in check. But no longer.Unaware of the nightstalking menace, the townspeople of Summer Haven, Florida, blithely go about their daily lives until, one by one, they disappear.
Screams are heard in the night. Fear grows. But the lost are never found…alive.Jenny Lacey and her father, who are hired to renovate the old Grand Theater, can’t escape when they find themselves caught up in the middle of the vampire’s war. In the end, it’s up to Jenny, her brother and her ex-husband to get rid of the bloodthirsty fiends that are destroying their town…if they can.
Currently reading this one and about 30% into it and it’s okay, just need things to pick up a bit!
Excerpt from a newspaper article on the front page of the Evansville Globe-Democrat: Mysterious Cult-like Murders Continue to Baffle Authorities as Terror Reigns in Evansville and the Surrounding Area.
It’s always interesting to start off with news of a killing! 🙂 So basically we are learning about them vampires being somewhere and the reason they had to move.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
“Did you hear that
?” Jeff’s body has grown stiff. He grabbed her arm.
Jenny had a handful of rags and had been heading towards the door.
“Not again?” She smirked.
“No, I mean it. Listen.”
Jenny cocked her head, trying hard to hear what he heard. “I don’t hear anything, Jeff.”
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Do you read paranormal romances? If so, what is your favorite thing about the genre?
On occasion I do. I like them because they are just fun entertainment. One of my favorite series is Jane Jameson by Molly Harper, lots of humor and sexy vampires!
