Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.
What are some tips that helped you with blogging?
- Blog about what you love and don’t let what others think bother you.
- Have fun, it’s not a job.
- Be polite in your criticism, it’s okay to rant but you don’t have to be rude about it.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
In the second brilliant, action-packed book in the Charlotte Holmes trilogy, Jamie and Charlotte are in a chase across Europe to untangle a web of shocking truths about the Holmes and Moriarty families.
Jamie Watson and Charlotte Holmes are looking for a winter break reprieve in Sussex after a fall semester that almost got them killed. But nothing about their time off is proving simple, including Holmes and Watson’s growing feelings for each other. When Charlotte’s beloved uncle Leander goes missing from the Holmes estate—after being oddly private about his latest assignment in a German art forgery ring—the game is afoot once again, and Charlotte throws herself into a search for answers.
So begins a dangerous race through the gritty underground scene in Berlin and glittering art houses in Prague, where Holmes and Watson discover that this complicated case might change everything they know about their families, themselves, and each other.
Started reading this one cause I wanted to try and get ahead on some Feb. review books since I am already behind on Jan. 🙂
It was late December in the south of England, and though it was only three in the afternoon, the sky outside Charlotte Holme’s bedroom window was as black and full as it would’ve been in the Arctic Circle. I’d forgotten about this, somehow, during my months in Connecticut away at Sherringford School, even though I’d grown up with one leg on either side of the Atlantic.
Not a stellar start but interesting enough, that we know James is on his way to visit Charlotte.
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
“You do have an entire company of trained men at your disposal,” August said. “Do I?” she asked. “Even if they’d follow my lead, using other people’s men leaves a rather large margin for error.”
Something has happened but not sure what, but I am intrigued. Who are they after?
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
How many books have you started, but just couldn’t finish?
Oh goodness, I have no clue but it’s be a lot. Some times I just get bored and sit it to the side and then realize I never finished it, so just put it back on the shelf for later, some I have just DNFed and moved on, but I just never counted.
