Friday Meme’s ~Stalked

December 9, 2016 Memes 26

BMR,Friday's MemeSince there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.

Show us your Holiday reads.

Well, I don’t have any because I read the one I had planned on this year which I featured last week. If I have time I want to get to these too, but I do want to get my December review books and maybe a jump on January so we shall see. 🙂

book beginnings memeBook Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.

If you’re reading this, I’m already dead…

That’s the note seventeen-year-old Haley Cooke leaves behind when she disappears from inside her high school. FBI profiler Evelyn Baine is called in to figure out who had reason to hurt her. On the surface, the popular cheerleader has no enemies, but as Evelyn digs deeper, she discovers that everyone close to Haley has something to hide. Everyone from estranged parents, to an older boyfriend with questionable connections, to a best friend who envies Haley’s life.

Secrets can be deadly…

One of those secrets may have gotten Haley killed. If she’s still alive, Evelyn knows that the more the investigation ramps up, the more pressure they could be putting on Haley’s kidnapper to make her disappear for good. It’s also possible the teenager isn’t in danger at all, but has skillfully manipulated everyone and staged her own disappearance. Only one thing is certain: uncovering Haley’s fate could be dangerous—even deadly—to Evelyn herself.

This one is next up for me to read after I finish my current read. I have read the last three and enjoyed them so I am excited to dive into this one. This is a great series for anyone joining the Cloak and Dagger reading challenge. 😉

Kyle McKenzie leaned across the table in the tiny Italian restaurant with the dim, romantic lighting, and said in a too-calm voice, “I start my new job at the Washington Field Office tomorrow.”

Kyle got hurt in the last book and now he is having to take a new job. 🙁 He was working for the Hostage Rescue Team but the bullet wound must have messed him up enough he has to take what sounds like a desk job. 🙁

Friday 56

The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday  Teaser but  you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.

“But if he owes this guy so much that he’s willing to overlook the kidnapping, then why try to help them escape?” Sophia stared at the wall full of Haley’s pictures, shaking her head. “I don’t get it.”

Sounds kind of interesting, now I am curious to know what is going on and dying to get started!!!!! 🙂

book blogger hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.  Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.

What is your best guess that you won’t be changing the genres you’re currently read?I

I don’t think I will be changing anytime soon. I am in a mystery, crime, horror type mood and it will stick for a while, but I will throw a few other genres in to break things up but mystery will probably be my main focus. 🙂

Thanks, I am enjoying my current one but a part of me really wants to dive into this one. 🙂

  1. Laurie @ Bark's Book Nonsense

I don’t have any Christmas reads lined up either. I’m 4 behind on my Netgalley ARC’s so I must get those done before considering anything else. As for switching up genres? Nah, I’ll be sticking with horror and romance with an occasional bit of something else thrown in on audio. I know what I like and I’m sticking with it 🙂

  2. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

You’ve definitely gotten me to add some horror titles to my TBR so I’m hoping to expand my genres in 2017! Stalked looks sooo good and super intense. Love a good thriller and this sounds like one I need to read. I’ll have to look for the earlier books as well.

  3. Emma

Killer Christmas looks like it could be a fun read. I don’t normally read themed reads but I do fancy a change so I may give it a go. Emma (p.s. Liking the header!)

  4. Maria Behar

There are genres for every taste, so I do hope you enjoy the three you’ve mentioned! Of the three, I can see myself picking the mystery genre as an ‘out of my comfort zone’ read. I’ve been wanting to read Agatha Christie’s novels, thanks to Katherine @ I Wish I Lived In A Library! Lol. My favorite detective is Sherlock Holmes, but I think I need to get know Hercule Poirot, as well.

Thanks for sharing! Thanks as well for stopping by my blog and commenting on my own BBH post!! Hope you’re having a GREAT Saturday!! 🙂

  5. Literary Feline

Stalked sounds good! I am really craving some holiday themed books and hope to dive into mine soon.

There are so many sub-genres within each genre–it’s easy to get a good mix even within one book category.

I hope you have a great week, Stormi!
