Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
After the dead body of a beloved Cottonwood resident is found tangled up in an electric fence, Sheriff Kenni Lowry has a hunch that somethin’ ain’t right. Her investigation heats up with a fierce cook-off competition, a euchre game where the intel is sweeter than the brownies, and a decades old family recipe that may just be the proof in the pudding.
The icing on the cake: Kenni is fighting an attraction to her recently sworn-in deputy sheriff, and election season is hot on her tail. When the killer comes after who she holds most dear, even her poppa’s ghostly guidance might not be enough to keep her and her own out of the frying pan.
I loved the first one and it’s from one of my favorite authors so I am sure it won’t disappoint and I need a good read since my last one wasn’t up to par. 🙂
The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
“Stay.” I ordered Duke, knowing that if he really wanted to, he could jump out the window and take Stanley down in a minute.
“That was good.” Poppa’s voice came from behind me.
I continued to watch Stanley Godbey walk to his truck with a stalking, purposeful intent.
It’s a ghostly cozy and her Poppa is a ghost. 🙂 I am curious about Stanley.
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Do you visit every listed blog in the linky list when you are participating in a meme?
No, I do not. If the list is small I might but I do some memes with a really large list of people participating and it’s just not possible. I do try and visit a few new ones each week.
Like you, I try to visit a few new blogs every week. I figure that’s the best way to discover some new ones I might want to follow regularly. You’ve convinced me to move the book I have by this author up front of the Kindle – it’s a start 🙂
This sounds great! And I always try and visit all the blogs in a linky, but sometimes when I post my link early, I don’t aways get a chance to check back, so then I visit those who’ve visited my blog.
I’m enjoying this one too. I never pass up a chance for any series she writes. I try to visit all of the blogs on the linky. I sometimes miss a few. Also catch them from visiting other blogs.
I haven’t heard of this series before but this one sounds like a good one. Thanks for mentioning it. Enjoy your current read!
I try but agree that on the bigger ones it just isn’t possible – especially with regular visiting as well. This looks so good! I really enjoyed the first book in the series but didn’t’ get this one because I was so overwhelmed. Can’t wait to see what you think!
sounds like I need to wait for the end of Lent for this one, would make me too hungry, lol. Mine is here: https://francebooktours.com/2017/03/31/friday-56-march-31-marie-antoinettes-darkest-days/
I do visit every blog on this meme. I love seeing the answers.
Have a great weekend.
Happy Hopping!!

My Blog Hop Answer
I often have trouble trying to comment on every blog on the linky list, but I try!
I try to get around, but it is not every linkup every week. Some weeks are better on time (and energy!) than others.
I have Tonya’s book in my TBR. I’m taking part in her upcoming book tour. I’d love for you and your readers to check out mine . . . http://tinyurl.com/LisaKsBookReviewsTSotF
I loved that intro – thanks for sharing and visiting my blog earlier.
I like the sound of Southern Fried!
I do try to visit every blog in some of the memes I participate in, but sometimes I just don’t have the time. The bigger memes are much harder to keep up with in that regard, and so I don’t even try. I’ll just visit as many as I can.
I hope you have a great week, Stormi!
Sounds like a fun read! I love Southern snark! 🙂 Happy Sunday!
