Friday Meme’s Fixin’ to Die

Posted June 17, 2016 by Stormi in Misc. / 26 Comments

BMR,Friday's MemeSince there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.

5 Websites you love to lurk around that are not shopping sites.

Well, besides blogs and shopping sites I don’t hang out on many sites so lets see if I can come up with  five.

  • IMDb – I like to go and check out movie trailers some times but I don’t do it on a regular bases.
  • Youtube – I have been crafting lately and it’s how I have learned to crochet.
  • Goodreads- Of course I am sure we all lurk there.
  • Instagram – I like to see others book photos. I am not good at taking them but some peeps are.
  • Netflix – I am always browsing for new shoes to watch. (especially British crime shows…lol.)

Okay so I couldn’t make a list without one book site and social media spot but at least I got five…lol. That was hard for me to think about…lol.

book beginnings memeBook Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.

fixin to die

Kenni Lowry likes to think the zero crime rate in Cottonwood, Kentucky is due to her being sheriff, but she quickly discovers the ghost of her grandfather, the town’s previous sheriff, has been scaring off any would-be criminals since she was elected. When the town’s most beloved doctor is found murdered on the very same day as a jewelry store robbery, and a mysterious symbol ties the crime scenes together, Kenni must satisfy her hankerin’ for justice by nabbing the culprits.

With the help of her Poppa, a lone deputy, and an annoyingly cute, too-big-for-his-britches State Reserve officer, Kenni must solve both cases and prove to the whole town, and herself, that she’s worth her salt before time runs out.

Not started this one yet, but it’s coming up to review for a blog tour so thought I would feature it. 🙂

“Calling all units. Calling all units.” Betty Murphy’s voice felt like a stiletto in my ear as it came over the police walkie-talkie.

The clock read seven in the morning. Betty couldn’t have been at the sheriff’s office long enough to already be calling all units.

Not a good sign for a Monday Morning. I had yet to enjoy my cup of coffee.

Great opener, I am really curious as to what is going on! 🙂

Friday 56

The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday  Teaser but  you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.

“According to Toots, patients showed up at all hours of the night and sometimes Doc didn’t charge them,” I said. “Anyone could’ve come to see him and there would be no record unless he gave them a prescription.”

Before this part Kennie moved crime scene tap away so I know they are at a crime scene but don’t know much more than that. Sounds like the Doc was a nice man.

book blogger hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer.  Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.

Do you have your photo in your profile?

Yes, I do. I don’t mind people knowing what I look like. I don’t have a job that might make me want to separate my social life online with my personal life. It sure makes it easier to spot your friends at things like BEA when you already know what they look like…lol. 🙂

  1. I love the sound of this one…I’m always up for a good mystery.

Photos of bloggers are great to see…I like putting faces to the names. I also love when a blogger’s name is available, as sometimes, only a username shows, and it feels…distant.

Enjoy your book, and here’s mine: “THE EXIT”

I have heard good things about this author so I am hopeful. 🙂 I like putting names with faces too. 🙂

  2. I think your list of websites you visit is similar to what I would have listed had I made one. 🙂 Except for You-Tube. I rarely use that site. I’m on Netflix way too much!

Fixin’ To Die sounds good! You’ve piqued my interest. 🙂

I’m one of those who likes to keep my face offline as much as possible. Except I may put myself out there more than I should on Facebook. LOL

Here’s Blog Hop Answer for this week if you are interested.
