Since there are a few Friday Meme’s that I want to participate in I have decided to post them all in one post.
Book Beginnings is hosted by Rose City Reader. Take the first sentence of your current read and post it.
Rose Briar claims no responsibility for the act that led to her imprisonment in an asylum. She wants to escape, until terrifying nightmares make her question her sanity and reach out to her doctor. He’s understanding and caring in ways her parents never have been, but as her walls tumble down and Rose admits fault, a fellow patient warns her to stop the medications. Phillip believes the doctor is evil and they’ll never make it out of the facility alive. Trusting him might be just the thing to save her. Or it might prove the asylum is exactly where she needs to be.
Not read this one yet but hope to get to it soon, I have gotten myself so behind on review books. UGH.

The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda @ Freda’s Voice. It’s like Tuesday Teaser but you have a specific place in your read that you have to turn in your read (page 56 or 56%) to get your teaser.
Hmm, not a clue what is going on here. Not sure why they are searching for their files but I am curious. 🙂

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we are asked a question to answer so it reminds me a bit of FF and so I thought it made a good fit to my other Friday Memes.
Do you tend to read more in the winter or in the summer months?
I think I read about the same amount, but I can see the summers having me busier outside, etc but then there is always audiobooks. 🙂 So I am constantly reading something.

This sounds interesting. I wonder what is happening. This week I am spotlighting The Great Hunt by Wendy Higgins. Happy reading!
Stormi
Yeah, I hope it is interesting. 🙂

I am always intrigued by stories of people in asylums…and these subjects are also frightening to think about. Thanks for sharing. Here’s mine: “THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE ME”
Stormi
Yeah, I find them interesting and frightening as well.

I’m sold at asylum! I love how authors put their twists on it. Love the scarecrow icons! Thanks for stopping by earlier and have a great weekend 🙂

I’m really curious about this one! I love the concept so I hope you get to it soon! I definitely do more of my reading in the winter. I think the heat scrambles my brain a bit!
Stormi
I am too, it should have been reviewed a while back so I will be getting to it soon, so behind. 🙁
Kim Griffin
I love the cover for that book! Pretty and creepy at the same time! I’ve got to read that. Sleeping Beauty was always my favorite fairy tale, so any re-telling I see, I have to grab it! I read more in the winter because I go to the beach a lot during the spring and summer. I go mostly just to sit and watch the waves come in and the seagulls fly around. For some reason I never thought about listening to an audiobook while I sat there, but then again, that would drown out the sound of the gulls and the surf. I’ll have to give it some thought though. I might start doing that from time to time. Hope you have a great weekend, Stormi! Happy reading!
Stormi
Yeah, I am curious about this retelling too!

I love that cover. Creeps me out and that is a good thing. 🙂
Stormi
Yeah, the cover is what first got me. 🙂

I haven’t heard of this one before, but it does sound interesting. I hope you enjoy this one once you get to it. 🙂

I do audio books all year round so I can read while I work. But in the summer I wouldn’t do audio outside and get a weird tan on my head/face 😉

Hard to resist that cover and blurb. I have a feeling you’ll like this one, Stormi. I need to get to some review books too. Been so busy reading my TBR list I almost forgot! LOL
Ashley @ BookishRealmReviews
I definitely have this marked in my 2016 TBR. I hope it’s as good as I’m hoping. Great post. My Friday #56
Brooke @BlackMutts
When hasn’t a little time in the asylum done anyone good? All the best mental health facilities go by the term “asylum” these days…
Freda
The cover and the beginning pulled me right in! Happy weekend!
Elizabeth (Silver's Reviews)
ENJOY your book….the cover is quite different.
Have a good weekend.

Asleep sounds like it will be a good one! I hope you end up liking it.
It seems like most of us read about the same year round. I am more of an indoor person during the summer though. I can only take so much of the heat.
