So to be honest I did pretty bad this week and didn’t really exercise as much as I keep telling myself I am going too. πŸ™

I decided I was going to use my dad’s treadmill and get some walking in since it is way to cold to go outside, but it wouldn’t work. πŸ™ I don’t know what is wrong with it but I think it’s because it needs new batteries because it was plugged in but nothing would turn on. πŸ™ I hope it’s just the batteries because I was really hoping to use it a lot and make a desk to go over it so I could walk and work on computer at the same time.

I got on my elliptical twice but it’s really hard on my knee and really hard for this overweight lady and I can do about two minutes before feeling like I am dead..lol.

Yesterday I found Jennifer Lopez’s body lab and it has little workouts for beginners and so I did one of those. It was lifting with free weights and running in place, things like that. It didn’t sound like much till I tried doing it..lol.

So I did get my butt moving a bit this week but just not enough to do any good. Baby steps. πŸ™‚

  1. I joined this challenge last year, and started out strong (getting in shape for my wedding was good motivation), but my efforts kinda fizzled after that. best of luck with your goals, hopefully you get that treadmill working!

      I am hoping this will make me get up and do something, having to write about not doing much..maybe next time it will prompt me to actually get up cause I don’t want to have to say how bad I was again..lol. That is the plan anyway. πŸ™‚

  2. LOL I always think I can totally nail those workouts on tape (the only ones I am decent at are the Leslie Sansone walk at home ones) and then I try to do them…let’s just say I am glad no one records that πŸ™‚

      Body Lab is not really a workout but it has workout plans on there..like lifting weights and jogging in place..etc. It has recipes and a diet plan..and you can use her products..which I haven’t tried. πŸ™‚ I like Leslie Sansone, I use to do that one with my mom but ares were all on VHS, need to get some dvd ones..lol.

  3. Absolutely – small steps count. And we all have weeks where we don’t accomplish what we’d like. I prefer to be outside when I can but a dvd also works, and the goal is to move!! Have a great week coming up but mind that knee, they can be unforgiving!

  4. I’m horrible at the exercise videos. The only ones I can do are these “Crunchless Abs” ones that I got and they are only 10 minutes long each. I’m not willing to go out in the cold either. I bought a treadmill a little over a year ago. I’ve been really good about using it all year (I don’t like heat either). Good luck on getting your treadmill fixed.

  5. You got in some exercise so you did good this week! It is really cold here too so I try to go on my stationary bike, but sometimes my hip is bothering me so I understand how you feel about the elliptical. I hope you get the treadmill fixed since it is too cold to go outside.

  6. Nice job Stormi! I know you feel like it wasn’t enough to do any good, but every bit you move is a step in the right direction! The treadmill wasn’t working and you tried to find other solutions – you didn’t just give up! You should applaud yourself for that:) Good luck next week, I hope you can figure out what’s up with the treadmill!

  7. I hate my elliptical machine. My husband uses it a lot but even after 4 years I can’t do more than 15 minutes at level 0 lol

    I had a bad back last year and now have knee issues if I try to anything high impact. I’m going slow and steady this year. As long as you’re moving some it’s all good!

  8. I’m better at the exercise videos than I am at the treadmill. I used to use that sucker at the gym for far longer than my exercise videos and would gain weight so obviously the treadmill hates me as much as I hate it. I like the Pilates and yoga for less stress on my joints and they help loosen me up a bit.

  9. The cold really makes a difference. Hope the treadmill issues gets worked out. That’s the thing that is saving my exercise this winter. Have a good week!
