Do you have a go to genre when you’re happy, sad, or angry? – Suggested byTake Me Away…

I am a mood reader but I don’t think I have really ever thought about how I felt when I decided to pick something up to read. I normally just think hmm I think I want to read a cozy mystery, or how about this YA, etc. I do think if I am feeling sad I would want a light happy read, but I guess I haven’t really thought about it much I just read what I feel in the mood to read. I just never really thought about how I was feeling at that time. 🙂

Currently in the mood for Cozies and that is what I am reading right now..lol.

  1. My go-to genre whenever I’m feeling down is Paranormal Romance in audio, or more specifically Molly Harper. Her writing makes me laugh out loud already, but when paired with Amanda Ronconi’s voice, I just know that I am in for a good time. Happy Friday!

OMG, Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi is such an awesome match, you can’t help but lift your mood listening to those books. 🙂

Yeah I had to use my brain a bit on this one..and still didn’t come with a great answer..lol. So I side tracked everyone with a lovely read. 🙂

  2. It’s so difficult to determine exactly how I feel and to which book that leads me. And there are also things like deadlines and review books.

Sometimes I pick up a book that matches my mood, like how when I am happy I pick up a ligth and fluffy book. But it also happens I pick up the opposite, like I pick up a depressing dystopia when I am in a happy mood as I have more of a buffer against it then.

And sometimes I just want to read soemthing and know what to expect and then I pick up a sequel or somethign by one of my favourite authors. I also have those moods were I want somethign YA or Adult or a certain genre, without any reason. It’s really difficult pinning down how I pick a book and how that collaborates with my mood. I do know I am a mood reader though, but it’s difficult to decide exactly how that works.

I love cozy mysteries too! They’re my go to if I’m feeling sad. I read them when I’m happy sometimes too though. They just tend to cheer me up. Here’s my F&F. Old bloglovin follower! 🙂
