Christmas in Paradise is a magical time of year that Tj has always looked forward to with happy anticipation. This year her holiday spirit is marred by the impending arrival of two new men in her life. When one of the men ends up dead, Tj must juggle community plays, Christmas tree cutting, sleigh rides, and holiday shopping, with a complex murder investigation. As the facts start to unravel Tj realizes that she must risk it all to save someone she loves.

Here is what I thought

I really enjoy these short cozy mysteries and this one another good one!

TJ gets some news that makes her really nervous. She finds out that a man named Capt. Joseph Tanner is saying that he is Gracie’s father. TJ has took over the responsibly of taking care of her two young sisters after her mother died. They are from a different marriage but her father and grandfather has opened up their home to them and made themselves a nice little family. Now this Capt. Tanner could mess it up and she doesn’t know what she might do if that happened.

She doesn’t have a lot of time to dwell on that because soon a dead body is found and one of the locals is accused. Dennis wasn’t a fan of his mother wanting to marry Bob, so he seems like the likely suspect. Then Bonnie his mother confesses to the crime and TJ is sure she is just doing that to help out her son, so she takes it on to find out whodunit.

This series has some really great characters. I love TJ and her family and the rest of the side characters. They always have a really good mystery for being shorter listens and I find that a great quality. I must say that I didn’t figure this one out before the sleuth.

Recommend if you like

Shorter reads, great characters and cozy mysteries.

The Narrator

Coleen Marlo does a great job with this series. She has a great pace and her voices are not to bad either.

AAGHH!! You’re killing me here. Every time you review one of these I think “Wow! These look good. I should really read one and not just say I’m going to read one.” And then every single time I completely forget until your next review! This does sound like such a fun series! I need to find the audios.

Sounds like you are really enjoying this series. I need to grab a cozy soon as it’s been a few weeks since I picked one up. I seem to be on a thriller/horror kick right now. (I’m trying to learn new ways to kill Peter – man he STILL makes me mad).
