Aoléon and Gilbert have become the Luminon’s top priority in stopping the Martian resistance movement, and after being chased by the Royal Paladin Guard, they are forced to flee the Martian Megalopolis. Aoléon, Gilbert and Zoot escape with the help of Bizwat and his newly found friend, Helios, a first generation soldierbot.
After their saucer is destroyed, they crash land somewhere in the deep Martian desert, and they set out to locate Kyrios and the secret base where Aoléon’s parents are being held captive.
After battling the forces of nature, starvation, a Klyklon dust storm, (and not to mention a giant slor that almost swallows them alive), they finally make it to their destination. However, after Kyrios gives Gilbert some basic training to develop his budding psionic power, they learn that their journey is far from over.
Will Aoléon, Glbert, Bizwat, Helios, and Zoot be able to rescue Aoléon’s parents and stop the Martian invasion of Earth in time?
What I thought of this book
Aliens are starting to invade earth as Aoléon and her friend try to make it to her parents to free them so they can stop the Luminon from invading earth and taking over and also taking all their milking cows.
In one part of this we see that some martian spies have landed on Earth and are wreaking a bit of havoc and stealing milking cows. Some are causing problems in a store trying to get their milk. Meanwhile, Aoléon, Gilbert, Bizwat and Helios are making a long trek across parts of Mars after their crash and trying to get to where her parents are being held.
Along the way they hitch a rid on some chirons and finally meet up with a new ally that Pax told them about, Kyrios. Kyrios trains them for their mission. I sort of phased out of this part as it was a lot of scientific explanations.
I am ready for Aoléon and her friends to reach her parents and save them and earth. Which I hope happens in part five as the suspense is killing me. I am still amazed at the awesome illustrations that the author has done himself. It really looks like they could be part of a cartoon movie. The really make me laugh some times, especially the one with the cows being abducted..lol.
Aoléon the Martian Girl has been a fun read so far and I think anyone who has young readers will really enjoy this series.
