The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
Staring: Brendan Fraser, Jet Li, Maria Bello, John Hannah, Luke Ford
Rick O’Connell is back and he is waking up another mummy. When his son Alex finds the Dragon Emperor’s tomb, Rick and Evelyn went to check it out. Only one problem, they ended up awaking the Dragon Emperor and now he wants to take over the rest of the world.
I love Brendan Fraser and I think his action comedies are very fun and great for the whole family to enjoy. I think that if you liked the other mummy movies then you will like this one, but it is also a lot like the others. The only thing real different in this one is that Rick and Evelyn’s son is not a kid anymore and so it was fun watching the father/son interaction because they are not on the best of terms at the beginning. This film is rated PG 13 for violence and mild language.
The tomb of the Dragon Emperor with its Terracotta warriors is inspired by the real-life tomb of the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty. The mausoleum is located in Xi’an, China.
Brendan Fraser, who plays Rick, was born in 1968, and Maria Bello who plays Evelyn, was born in 1967, while Luke Ford, who plays their son Alex, was born in 1981 and is only 13 years younger than Fraser and 14 years younger than Bello.
